New features and improvements

Wenzel DesginTec is focused exclusively on Studio products development. Our focus on solutions, which are aimed directly at Studio operations, drives a high level of innovation and creative software improvements which simplify and enhance the styling machines operation and productivity.

The new DescAD version V6.1 has been released now and brings along new features and improvements. Our software team in California is contineously working on DesCAD and improving our tailor-made designstudio software.

The new version holds such helpful features as:

• Selectable Constant Milling Distance or Depth
• New Predefined features added (Cone and Cube)
• The reference sphere can now be defined as coordinate origin, which allows several machines to simultaneously work in a common reference system
• Machine movement parameters can be set individually for positioning, milling and measuring
• Auto Assign Function detects new tool angles and helps you calibrate them, a list of the most used angles has been added which makes it simple and quick to use
• New install shield better manages installs and updates

Among others we also improved the following points:

• Revised graphical user interface which includes national language selection (English, German, Chinese and Japanese)
• Enhanced context-sensitive help section with tutorial
• Optimized smart cutter calibration with improved accuracy including a selectable resolution to scale the accuracy to overall performance (speed)
• Improved mirroring, rotating, inverting of NC programs with defined cutter positions.
• Enhanced import and export functions with DIN ISO 66025/26 support
• Import of .dc5 files, as well as NC-programs from Tebis, workNC, CATIA and other CAM systems into DesCAD with Milling Head rotations
